The 18th century garden, restored after years of neglect, has been beautifully landscaped to incorporate different aspects of herb planting such as colour, scent and foliage and a parterre garden. This enables visitors to see how versatile herbs can be and how they can transform a garden.
The garden has a wealth of box and yew hedging incorporating beautiful statues and a 17th century gazebo..Wellingham is a delight for keen gardeners and novices alike. The nursery area offers over 100 varieties of herbs for sale, including many of the more unusual varieties.

The gardens are open from April to October on weekends and Bank Holidays. Times are 10.30am to 5.30pm.
